It features a large open-plan living room, kitchen and dining room, a breakfast room that opens to a sunny patio, plus a den, office and two car garage. It is fully supplied and equipped with all of the comforts of home. The house is very private; located down a forested driveway and surrounded by lush gardens and lawns, with views of the Saanich Inlet and Mt. Baker. The fireplaces will warm you up on a cozy night or you can barbecue in the evening sunshine and relax on the patio.
When you are ready to have some fun you can kayak, boat or mountain bike. Don’t forget your fishing rod! In the Cowichan Valley you can fish the rivers, lakes and ocean for everything from steelhead to lake trout, salmon to prawns. Whatever your preference is, the island is full of interesting ways to spend the day. Enjoy the most beautiful scenery you will find anywhere. Golf or play tennis at nearby Arbutus Ridge. Tour the many wineries that surround the area. Hike endless trails through old-growth forests. Take a scenic ferry ride to world famous Butchart Gardens or go whale watching from Victoria’s Inner Harbour. Catch the Tofino bus for a look at the wild west coast. Take a Gulf Island ferry to visit nearby Salt Spring and the other Gulf Islands. From the ocean to the rivers to the Galloping Goose bike trail, recreational areas abound. Approximately 35 minutes drive to Victoria and Nanaimo.
The house is a short distance from many local schools and offers the perfect base for families with children attending nearby Brentwood College School, Shawnigan Lake School, etc.
